Welcome to LOGOS West Midlands!
At LOGOS West Midlands CIC, we are committed to supporting health and social care organizations in delivering top-quality educational services throughout the West Midlands. Our mission is to collaborate with educational settings to build resilience, capacity, and stamina in the learning experience, particularly in the wake of the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
We recognize the daily challenges faced by many young people, not just in their education but in various aspects of their lives. Our services are designed to support the most vulnerable, including those in the Local Authority care system. By working alongside professionals, we aim to meet the learning objectives and targets set in Personal Education Plans, offering targeted tuition in core subjects.
Making Sense of Your History
Know your history (your history can either bind you or be a source of power: so make the most of those defining moments in your life; ‘death and life is in the power of the tongue’, King James Bible)
Acknowledge your history (how you can use these events to ‘shape your outlook’: according to Malcolm Gladwell, it is your ‘Tipping Point Moment’)
Articulate your history (use to career build: write that CV with a ‘difference’ = paradigm shift) Sir Michael Lyons ‘place shaping’; ‘social engineering’
Our belief in early help and effective intervention is backed by evidence showing that many children and young people have lost their appetite and stamina for study post-lockdown (Ofsted, November 2020). To address this, we promote positivity in education and develop self-esteem through tailored programs delivered by assigned mentors, including university students from King’s College London and Year 13 students from local grammar schools, many of whom are recognized as ‘gifted and talented.’
To ensure the highest quality of our curriculum, we have a dedicated role for quality control, led by Vivean, who brings a wealth of experience from her background in early years education as both a service provider and a regulator. Vivean’s expertise, supported by her Bachelor of Education and Master of Education degrees, provides us with valuable insights into both practice and theory.
We are eager to discuss how we can support your business in maintaining or improving the quality of your services. For a no-obligation discussion about your business requirements, please contact us to arrange a meeting.
Thank you for your continued support.
Best regards,
Gilbert R. Pomell
