Since 2014, we have been actively engaged in capacity building in Liberia, West Africa. This initiative has been spearheaded by Vivean Pomell, our lead program developer, who envisioned supporting the region through various enablement programs. Under the charitable arm known as “Banner of Love,” we have provided substantial assistance to the people, communities, and regions of Liberia.
One of the key partnerships established through Banner of Love is with Abosso Apostolic Ministries, led by Bishop D. Panton. Over the past decade, this collaboration has resulted in significant support for education, agriculture, and housing development programs. These efforts have been instrumental in improving the quality of life for many Liberians.
Additionally, the work has received essential financial backing from Vivean Pomell’s local church, which has provided much-needed funds to initiate and sustain these projects. This financial support has been crucial in “pump priming” the work, allowing it to gain momentum and reach a broader audience.
Looking ahead, we are committed to expanding our efforts, aiming to add 3 new projects with a long-term strategic drive to empower the youth. This will be achieved through dedicated educational programs designed to provide young people with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive. By focusing on education and empowerment, we hope to create lasting positive impacts in Liberia and contribute to the sustainable development of its communities.
